Church and Clubhouse Restoration

"With thanks to the Preservation Trust of Vermont, both the church and the club house are on sound footing. The grants from PTV have been completed and now all work is funded or actually done through the generosity of community members.

The club house is undergoing a renovation inside! With Nathan Pero and the help of the Westshire ATV Club, the kitchen has been gutted and is now being rebuilt and updated ... but not enough to lose its charm. Also, club members are working hard to raise funds for appliances, and for improving the interior and the "Throne" room. Donations of materials and funds are deeply appreciated. We plan to celebrate the building's makeover during the summer of 2011.

The church is just fine ... except for the need of paint, both outside and in. We have started work by removing the shutters and having them restored. However, now we face the daunting effort of raising money to paint the whole church. It is estimated we will need about $30,000 in total. Some work on the exterior will begin the summer of 2011 and go as far as we have funding.

Along with the renovation of the Kearns house and placement of the historical marker, the center is coming back to life with an invitation to the whole community of West Fairlee to participate in activities and use these buildings. "
