Since its beginning in 1999, the Bed and Breakfast Weekend has been the most significant annual fund raiser for both the Community Club and the Church. During the camps' Parents Weekend, there is a big demand for housing. Area residents provide rooms for one or two nights for those parents who register. The price is equivalent to area accommodations but the money is considered a charitable donation to the two buildings for historic preservation activities. There is always a need for beds, so the event does not draw away from local businesses. It has been extremely successful and well managed by members of the Community Club. Every effort is made to accommodate people's needs such as allergies to pets. some of the special homes are actually historic old farm houses. Many people choose to return to the same house each year and have actually built friendships with their hosts.
